Renal Tubulointerstitial Pathology
Overview |
---|
- Renal Tubulointerstitial pathology refers to diseases that involve the renal interstitium, including the renal tubules (i.e. nephrons). Tubulointerstitial diseases can arise from a variety of different sources and might occur secondary to glomerular damage or ascend from disease in the urinary tract. Although infections of the kidneys could be considered tubulointerstitial pathologies they are discussed together with infections of the urinary tract in the renal and urinary tract infection section.
