Adrenal Gland Hormones
Overview |
---|
- The adrenal glands are in reality composed of two functionally and histologically distinct endocrine tissues which are derived from different embryonic origins. These tissues, known as the adrenal medulla and cortex, produce different classes of endocrine hormones and are thus should be considered separately. Adrenomedullary physiology and pathology will be added later to this text.
