- The most common primary neoplasm of the lung is bronchogenic carcinoma, which accounts for nearly 95% of lung tumors. We also discuss the notable pulmonary neoplasm of bronchial carcinoid. However, it should be pointed out that metastasis of extra-pulmonary tumors to the lung are in reality much more common than primary lung tumors.
