Insulinoma

- An Insulinoma refers to a functional tumor of the beta cells of the Islets of Langerhans. Insulinomas are typically solitary and tend to be well-differentiated, manifesting as giant versions of normal islets. Although almost always benign, insulinomas secrete insulin in an unregulated fashion, resulting in hypoglycemia.
