GI Secretion

Overview
  • GI secretions include enzymes and fluids which aid in the liberation of nutrients from food, as well as mucus which facilitates transport of food down the alimentary tract. The nature of the secretions change in the different segments of the GI tract and each are discussed individually below along with their regulation.
